Terms & Conditions

Effective October 20, 2026 · Venice Rising

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms govern your use of the Venice Rising events calendar and event advertising services. The seller and service operator is Venice Rising. By continuing to use the service, creating an account or purchasing a placement, you agree to these terms. You must be of legal age to make a purchase and, if acting for an organization, have authority to bind it.

2. Events and advertising

Venice Rising publishes local family event listings and offers paid featured listings and exclusive scrolling marquee placements. Current options, prices and billing frequency are on our pricing page. Payment does not guarantee approval. All paid listings require review before public display. One-time placements begin after payment and approval; recurring placements follow their billing periods. Only one marquee takeover runs at a time, and bookings may be queued. Final dates are confirmed after approval.

Event organizers are responsible for their events. Verify dates, availability, prices, suitability and venue details with the organizer before attending. A listing or paid placement is not a guarantee of attendance, views, clicks or sales.

3. Payments, renewals and cancellations

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Paddle’s Buyer Terms govern payment processing, billing, applicable taxes, cancellation and refund mechanics. The total and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. One-time purchases do not renew. The monthly featured option renews at $30 per month until canceled. You can manage or cancel renewal through your advertiser account’s “Manage renewal” link or Paddle support. Cancellation stops future renewals; refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your account credentials confidential and your information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not use the service unlawfully, for fraud or spam, or to infringe another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights. Do not upload malware, interfere with security, probe systems without permission, scrape the service without authorization, or bypass access controls. Do not submit misleading listings or advertise events that are unsuitable for the calendar’s family audience.

5. Intellectual property and submissions

Venice Rising retains ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including software, documentation and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not resell the service or reproduce its branding without permission.

You retain your rights in submitted text and images. You must have permission to use all submitted material. By submitting it, you give Venice Rising permission to host, process and display it to provide and promote your listing. We may remove or restrict material that breaches these terms. For rights concerns or other service inquiries, contact Venice Rising through our main website.

6. Availability and suspension

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may correct listings or change the service. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Changes and privacy

Updated terms will be posted on this page with an effective date. Our Privacy Notice explains how personal data is used.
